Battery in Laptop or Netbook is one of the most important components and having a proper information about your laptop or netbook battery can help extend your battery life. Most users are not aware of whats going on with their Laptop battery and how they should charge and discharge it for maximum performance.
I was one of those novice users when I first started using a Laoptop. Today we will talk about Batteryinfoview which can help you get more information about your Laptop or Netbook battery.
BatteryInfoView is a small utility for laptops and netbook computers that displays the current status and information about your battery. The displayed battery information includes the battery name, manufacture name, serial number, manufacture date, power state (charging/discharging), current battery capacity, full charged capacity, voltage, charge/discharge rate, and more.
This is a standalone utility which means you do not need to install it. You can run it directly by double clicking the executable file. As said above, it gives you information like battery name, manufacture name, serial number, manufacture date, power state (charging/discharging), current battery capacity, full charged capacity, voltage, charge/discharge rate etc. Keep in mind, if the Manufacturer has not provided any of these information, then Batteryinfoview cannot give that information to you.
It also keeps a log of the battery state containing status of the battery, Power State, % Capacity, voltage etc for every 30 seconds. You can enable this view by pressing F8.
Even though the information provided is good enough, it does not give you recommendations on how and when to charge and discharge like Batterycare does.
PS:- Thanks Ashwin for the tip.
