There are a lot of video downloaders, both premium and free, but I haven’t found any software for downloading songs. That’s when I stumbled onto Super MP3 Download, its like a music search engine and downloader combined into one solid product.

Advanced Search* (Pro Feature)

Super MP3 Download can search songs in tags of title, artist, album, and edition. You can even search the live, piano, guitar or cover editions of your favorite songs.

There isn’t much to explain, all you have to do is install it and search for a song and download it, but I’ll explore the software’s functionality for you.

Note: During installation, there is an option to install Hott Mp3 toolbar, which is checked by default. Uncheck it if you dislike browser toolbars.

Advanced Search:

Using the Advanced Search option, you can search for songs by artist’s name, titles, album or editions (for eg: remix,live,etc )

Hot Songs:

The Hot Songs feature gets you the list of US Airplay’s top 100 songs (from Billboard’s top 100), So you can keep up with the latest hits.

Categories:

You can also view the list of songs by Genre, however the list is limited, atleast in my opinion. I was dissapointed here, there is no room for Metal or Country Music. Instead it has an option for “More and other”.

Pros:
1. I could find all the songs that I wanted. Extensive database.
2. Downloaded songs are of excellent sound quality/clarity
3. Song preview before downloading
4. Hot songs list is a good way to stumble on to some great hits.

Cons:
1. Downloaded mp3 songs are not tagged properly. You may want to use a tagging software if you listen to music on your ipod or mobile phone.
2. Could do with a few more genres (categories).
3. No offline help file.
4. Requires Adobe Flash to run.

The free version is good too,however it has limited features. You can try it before deciding to enter our giveaway.
