Competition has seriously heated up in Cloud storage segment with serious players like Dropbox, Microsoft and Google Drive upping the ante with each passing day. Microsoft OneDrive is trying hard to come at par with other cloud storage players and till now has been offering a free Online storage space of 7 GB to it’s users.
Starting today, Microsoft has just increased that free storage space for its users and now all OneDrive users will now have access to 15 GB of free cloud storage. Apart from this, you can earn an extra 3 GB of storage when you activate your camera roll backup to save photos automatically.
If you want more cloud storage, you can buy additional storage at much lower prices, starting at 100 GB for $1.99 per month on OneDrive. With this upgrade, now every new and existing personal OneDrive accounts will come with:
- 15 GB of free storage (up from 7 GB)
- 1 TB of additional OneDrive storage with an Office 365 Home/Personal/University subscription (up from 20 GB)
- additional storage starting at 100 GB for $1.99 per month
This upgrade is rolling out slowly to all accounts and may be visible in your account already.
