Those of you who are not sure what Pidgin is and what i am talking about, i will try to give a brief description what Pidgin is.Its basically a all in one messenger with which you can log in to all your IM accounts whether its yahoo, gtalk , AIM or any other client.

Pidgin is a chat program which lets you log in to accounts on multiple chat networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on MSN, talking to a friend on Google Talk, and sitting in a Yahoo chat room all at the same time.

Pidgin supported networks

I had written about Pidgin in one of my previous post. One of the major drawback associated with Pidgin till now is being the unavailability of Video Support. It seems the guys at Pidgin are working on this aspect.

As per Lifehacker ,

The big new feature in the 2.6 releases—already at a bug-fixing 2.6.1 as this is written—is video and voice chat support over XMPP, known primarily as the Jabber/Google Talk protocol. Unfortunately, that video and audio chat support isn’t working on Windows at the moment (kind of a big target to miss, no?), but the Pidgin team says it’s coming soon. In other areas, Pidgin improved its Yahoo file transfer powers, added rough support for theming, and made a whole bunch of other changes.
