Even though we already have 64 bit versions of operating system installed on our PCs, majority of them being the Microsoft Windows. But we are yet to get 64 bit version of most of the applications that we use on our PCs and majority of them just run with their 32 bit counterpart. Google chrome broser was one such application for which no 64 bit installer was available. It seems now that it is going to change.
Google has just announced the Chrome 64-bit Beta Channel for Windows operating system. The Google Chrome 64-bit Beta Channel at the moment is only available for Windows 7 and Windows 8 users only. If you use Chrome on your Windows PC and run either of Windows 7 or Windows 8 64-bit operating system, then you can download the 64-bit installer from Chrome Beta download page here.
This new 64 bit version of Chrome replaces the existing version on your PC while preserving all your settings and bookmarks, so there’s no need to uninstall a current installation of Chrome if you decide to install this. I am using this at the moment on my PC with Windows 7 without any issues and you too can try it.
