We are yet to hear some official confirmation of this disruption. The official Whatsapp twitter status handle has yet not tweeted anything about it or the reasons behind this downtime. We will update this post as and when we hear more about it or when the service gets restored. Stay tuned.
Update:
The service it seems has been restored. I am not sure if everything has been restored or for every user in world if it’s restored. We will wait for an official update from Whatsapp.
