I’ve just bought Samsung Omnia with Windows Phone 7.5 , mango. While the phone itself is great and supports a whole lot of features, I was a tad disappointed when I opened the Maps app , only to see a single button of “Me” , which tracks your location. I went to the windows phone site where it said the Maps app had 4 buttons. In my phone ,there was no button for directions or scouting. After some googling I found out the workaround for enabling the full functionality of Maps app on my phone.

Enable Bing Maps app all four buttons

Follow the steps below for the workaround:

  1. Go to the Phone Settings
  2. Go to Region and Language
  3. Scroll down to the bottom and change “Browser Search Language” to “English (United States)

After doing this when you go back to the Maps app you will see that all the Four (4) buttons are visible.
