Some of the new features that are coming with this version look promising and if they work effectively, it will be a great addition.

Device Anti-Theft

This feature lets you manage and control your different devices like your Android Phone, laptop etc. even after they have been lost or stolen. Using this feature you can now lock, wipe, or even locate your laptop or your Android device from any Internet-connected device.

SafePay Browser

Safepay is Bitdefender’s hacker-proof, iron-clad browser, specifically crafted to keep online transactions private and secure. It automatically activates when you try to access your online banking accounts, but can also be launched manually, each and every time you want to add an additional level of safety to your online shopping endeavors.

We are still to get our hands on this so called new hacker proof browser. I am not sure if its a standalone browser or its a feature which integrates itself into the existing browsers? We will report that when we test it  soon.

USB Immunizer

This is already available as a standalone product which can get rid of the risk of USBs infecting your system . Integrating it with the core product is a good idea, even though I assume that Antivirus products even now save your systems from viruses from flash drives.

Minimum System Requirement

It needs a system with minimum 1 GB RAM and recommended system requirement is of 1.5 GB RAM to run it smoothly. Even though this amount of RAM is easily available on system, there are loads of system I encounter personally everyday which run with memory of just 1 GB RAM. Perhpas they need to make it a bit lighter on system resources so that it runs smoothly even on older systems.

No Windows 8 Support ??

I was unable to find any documentation that talks about Windows 8 support. Windows 8 obviously is going to come soon and hopefully, Bitdefender will be adding support for Windows 8 in their security products.
