In today’s blog post we will talk about how to enable automatic login for Windows 8 so that you need not enter a password everytime you boot into your system running Windows 8. Long time back we have talk about how to automatically login in Windows 7 too. The process is exactly the same, still we will explain with few screenshots here.
Just follow the steps below to enable Automatic login of Windows 8.
1. Just press “Windows + R” key simultaneously. The Run command box will appear. In that box, type ” control userpasswords2” without quotes and press OK.
2. A new window will appear with User account details. You need to de-select the option of ” Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer”. Untick that option and click on Apply button.
3. A new window “Automatically Log On” Will appear in which you need to provide the username and password details of the account which you will be using on your system. Just provide the details and click OK.
That’s all. Next time onwards whenever you start your system, you wont need to provide the username and password to log into your system. You should not enable this option if your system is used by other people too except you.
