Angry Birds is one of the most popular games available on mobile platforms like Android, Iphone , Ipads etc. Just sometime back, Angry birds are being released for Windows Desktop platform too. The game is not available for Free if you want to play it on your Windows Desktop. It will cost you $4.99 to download and play the game.
As per Wikipedia “Angry Birds is a puzzle video game developed by Finland-based Rovio Mobile in which players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs stationed on or within various structures, with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playfield”.
Thanks to a promo by PC World UK and Intel Appup, you can grab the game for Free. The promo is available only to UK and Ireland people, but you can get it easily if you use a proxy or a UK or Ireland IP to grab the promo.
You can find a list of UK and Ireland proxy IPs here. Just use any one of them inside Firefox network settings to grab the promo. Just change the IP and Port number from the list and hopefully it will work.
The promo wont work if you use a IP outside UK or Ireland.
After that, just download the Intel Appup centre and install it on your system. When you run it for first time, you need to create a account and sign in using that account. After your signup is complete, you will find a message telling that Angry birds will be available to your account. (Keep in mind, you still need to use that UK or Ireland IP).
After you sign into Intel Appup on your desktop, you can find the Angry Birds game under My Apps section. Just click on download and it will start downloading.
Download will finish in few minutes and a shortcut will be made available on your desktop and even in Intel Appup. Now, you can play the game for FREE.
