Delete Locked files, folders and unlock locked processes

If you are windows user, you must have faced problems like you cannot delete files or folder as it is being used by some other process. Or you cannot delete something as access is denied.Some of these problems can be depicted by following :

• Cannot delete file: Access is denied
• There has been a sharing violation.
• The source or destination file may be in use.
• The file is in use by another program or user.
• Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

I have written about File Assassin utility sometime back which can help you delete locked files. Unlocker is a simple utility which gets rid of all these problems by unlocking the files and folders by dissociating the associated processes and unlocking them making files and folders accessible to you to delete or move to another place. After installation, a Unlocker menu will be added to the Windows explorer shell menu making it easier for you to use it on any file or folder. Just right click and you will find the option to use it.

If the file or folder is locked, a window will appear with details of all the processes associated with it letting you know the complete details. Its helpful when the affected files is locked to to some virus or malicious activity on your computer.

To use it, you need to just click on unlock all or kill process individually. Its so simple to use and a powerful tool too.
