Another Big Giveaway of 100 licenses coming soon

by Avinash on February 6, 2010 in Software

After the last big giveaway of Online armor premium, another big one is cooming. I would be giving away 100 licenses of  ********** to the readers of Avinashtech.

The rules will be the same and this time I have taken care that nothing bad happens like what happened with OA giveaway. No coupon codes this time, only full licenses.

Here’s a small hint. The application is a great utility for Windows and it costs ~$40.

So any guesses guys? I would love to hear few guesses.

I said in my post, its a utility and hence Cyberlink Power2Go doesn’t fall in that category. That means you guessed it wrong :(

The Great utility sounds like Glary utility to me. Also, Glary utility costs $39.95. So, I think I am right…

HI Again,
One more,Utilities are known to have a bad reputation of messing up the registry and unwanted files behind even after uninstallation,so is using it appropriate?Careless deletion of important files could become a huge headache,I even use my CCleaner with precaution,it does ask me clean dll files which I am not sure?

There are a few good utilities which don’t mess with your registry. I have used CCleaner for years and didn’t had any problem. Glary utilities, Tuneup utilities, Advanced System Care are also known to do well.

Hi Kingpin,

I have used Ccleaner, TuneUp Utilities and Glary but mainly the first two, for years and I find them very safe as Ccleaner has never once deleted anything needed from Xp to Vista to Win7 on my computers or anyone elses that I’ve fixed or know that use it. There are others that will do a more in depth dig and delete things that you shouldn’t.
And yes, any utility should be taken with caution, however, if you read, you have an option to do a registry backup with any of these utilities for the reason of accidental foul up.
I mean, Ccleaner OUTRIGHT asks if you want to back up for this purpose and is checked by DEFAULT upon install.
Also, people need to read up about any software they use as not just utilities, but ANY software can mess up your OS, even Windows updates can crash your computer but most blindly install them without reading up on issues. So yes, there are a lot of variables out there.

If this is a utility giveaway, then take some steps, use a
VM >virtual machine test.
Test box> Another PC you can test it on
Read>Look on the internet for others with issues, ask others what their experiences were, problems, etc..
Restore>Create a system restore so if something gets fouled, you can restore to a point before you installed.

While I don’t feel all this caution is necessary for something like this, if you are a worrying type, then take some steps first.
