Many users after Jailbreaking their  iOS 5 devices with Absinthe stopped themselves from upgrading their iOS to 5.1 and subsequently to iOS 5.1.1 due to the simple reason of not losing the jailbreak. The upgrade to iOS 5.1 was not advisable as “iOS Jailbreak Dream Team” was still working with the jailbreak details for iOS 5.1. Most of us waited for it and finally its arrived. Today @pod2g and the @ChronicDevTeam announced this highly anticipated release of Absinthe 2.0 at #HITB2012AMS in Amsterdam thanks to collaborative effort between Chronic-Dev Team & iPhone Dev Teams (Jailbreak Dream Team).

You can now use Absinthe 2.0 to jailbreak your iOS device. It is a untethered jailbreak, works with version 5.1.1 of the iOS firmware and supports almost all iOS devices running the latest 5.1.1 firmware, except the most recent version of the iPad 2 that utilizes a new 32nm A5 processor. There is a note though which says the Support for iPad2,4 will be added at a later date.
