Astrill (VPN) – Unlimited, Secure & Anonymous Internet surfing, 150 Exclusive Beta Invites

by Avinash on January 10, 2010 in Internet

Most of you will remember my post about 15 best FREE VPN services for Secure & Anonymous Internet surfing. Some of them got paid  ones and some of them embed Ads in their service to recover costs.

I wont talk much about what VPN stands for or what it is capable of and why you should use it. Just refer my previous post to get these answers. Today I will be talking about Astrill, a New service that offers great features. Some of these features include unlimited, unrestricted access, both Windows and Mac support, No ads, Security and excellent support.

You need not do anything else. All your net access is now through Astrill. You can just put it OFF and ON with a single click.

My net connection is just 256 Kbps (In India , we still need to go long way before we get better speeds). This is still in beta and you can use it for free . It will cost ~$10 per month when its out of beta.

I have got 150 Exclusive Invites for Avinashtech Readers. Simply use the EXCLUSIVE invite code ASTRILL-AVINASHTECH-0AA1-KH6LM when registering at signup page here.

Hi all,
I have installed but don’t trust it.
Have done a test and all my important ports are open with this program.
You can test it here: https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2
If I’m wrong with this let me know and don’t shoot me. ;-)

Make sure you were not using some online port scanner while Astrill is ON because in this case it will scan our server (not your computer) for open ports. On our server we are running a few services accessible from the internet (e.g. web server, DNS server, email server, etc…), however this can’t in any way expose your computer to any security risk.

The service is still in beta and if you feel something is not OK or some ports are open, you can give them a feedback to improve it.
