How to Disable Windows Automatic Update restart Popup

Even though Windows Automatic Update is good for any computer as it helps protect your system from zero day vulnerabilities and other loopholes which gets patched by these updates, sometime the popup which asks to restart system after the update gets annoying as you are busy with some work.

Here is a simple trick to stop or disable that Windows Automatic Update restart Popup at least temporarily.

Go to Start >>> Run, type “cmd” in it to  open Command Prompt. In command Prompt Window type,  Type “sc stop wuauserv“.

This will stop the pop-up to comeback again, but it is only a temporary fix and you will e able to do your work without a restart.  The service starts itself automatically on next re-start.

I have written about another trick, which Stop Windows from Rebooting after Automatic Updates permanently too.
