Backup your files right from your desktop. ADrive now offers a desktop client that allows you to schedule backup or sync tasks of your local files to your ADrive account. You can also schedule to restore any file that you have backed up.
ADrive Desktop for Windows, Mac & Linux
ADrive now offers a desktop application that is compatible with all major operating systems. Developed in Adobe AIR, ADrive Desktop allows users to upload, download, and schedule jobs to backup files/folders from your computer to your ADrive account. This feature gives users access to their ADrive account directly from their desktop. Available to our Signature and Premium account holders, we also offer a FREE 14-Day Trial to Basic account holders and new users.
WebDAV is now available. You can conveniently map your ADrive account directly to your computer without having to sign in to our web interface to manage, upload, or download your files. Any files you manage using WebDAV will also be accessible when using our web interface.
Geographically Diverse Backup
For additional protection of our customers’ valuable files, ADrive continuously backs up our Signature and Premium account users’ data at remote locations.
ADrive Signature and Premium account users will have SSL data encryption included in their storage plans. SSL is a cryptographic protocol that provides secure communication over the Internet for data transfers. Basically, your data is encrypted once it is being uploaded to or downloaded from your ADrive account.
Have you ever saved over the original file and wished you could retrieve that file? With our file history feature, you can view previous versions of your files utilizing snapshot technology. Scheduled backups occur once a day for 14 days and once a month for 2 months.
Need to retrieve a previous version of your file? It’s free of charge for our Signature and Premium account users. For Basic users, the cost is $25 per 24-hour unlimited recovery period.
Multiple Concurrent Sessions
All paid account users will have up to 10 signed-in sessions at one time. This will allow paid users the ability to upload in one web browser session and manage files in another. To access this feature, basic users can simply upgrade to a Signature or Premium account.

Zoho® Online Document Editor
ADrive has integrated Zoho® technology to allow users to edit their word processing documents and spreadsheets online. You can now open, edit, and save your documents instantly all from your ADrive account. You no longer need to save files to your computer, make the changes, and then re-upload your revised files to ADrive.
Complete Directory and Folder Uploads.
Upload complete directories or folders to your ADrive account using our Java uploader. Maximum file size is 2GB per upload.
Single File Uploads
Files can be uploaded individually using either our Java uploader or our simple http uploader. Maximum file size is 2GB per upload.
Download any of your online ADrive files at anytime using our Java download tool.
No need to email large attachments anymore with ADrive’s file sharing service. A unique link will be created for the file you wish to share publicly. Share and unshare files as you wish.
Email Shared Files
Want to share a file with a friend? You can have an email sent directly to your friend from your ADrive account. The unique link to your shared file will be included in the email, and you can always unshare files as you wish.
Having trouble locating a specific file? Use the search bar to find the exact file without the hassle of looking through each directory or folder.
Now you can instantly transfer files from external websites to your ADrive ac
count remotely. Once stored in your account, the file can be downloaded or shared.
International Character Support
Due to the demand and popularity of ADrive across the world, we have implemented the support of international characters in file names making it more convenient for our international users.

An alternative to adrive, is http://www.myotherdrive.com. Supports online backup and file sharing. They have solutions for personal or front office backup. One account can be used to backup multiple computers.
myotherdrive provides just 5 GB space for free compared to 50 GB on Adrive
